Carrying on the tradition of its predecessors whose origin goes as far back as 1846 Zgodovinski asopis Z has been published in Ljubljana fore over six decades. It publishes research findings on Slovene history and articles about general and specialized questions pertaining to the history of neighboring Central European nations general history auxiliary historical disciplines theory of history and the teaching of history in schools. It publishes comprehensive treatises as well as short articles conference papers and discussional contributions on all historic periods from antiquity to the present detailed analyses of special disciplines eras problems and areas are published in other periodicals. Contributions in Zgodovinski asopis deal with cultural political and economic subjects and with everyday life in the past. Zgodovinski asopis reports on historic conferences symposia and activities of historical associations and institutions. It brings critical reviews of new historical publications.
