Technology and Health Care is intended to serve as a forum for the presentation of articles, observing rigorous scientific standards, from the following areas: 1. Technology development in medicine: New concepts, procedures and devices associated with the use of technology in medicine are presented to a readership with a widespread background in engineering and/or medicine. 2. Interaction of medical technology and health care policy: The effects, efficacy and general influence deriving from the application of engineering in medicine with respect to public health including financial and political aspects are discussed.
