Scope/Description:

Taxon is the journal of the International Association for Plant Taxonomy (IAPT) and is devoted to systematic and evolutionary biology with emphasis on botany. The journal accepts articles on Plant Phylogeny, Evolution, Taxonomy, Morphology, Paleobotany, Palynology, Methods and Techniques, Biodiversity and Conservation, and of related fields, as well as contributions to discussions on timely issues (e.g., Points of View, Letters to the Editor). The journal is also an important outlet for publication of items dealing with Plant Nomenclature (including official Proposals to amend the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature, nomenclature committee reports, and commentaries). Manuscripts are peer-reviewed.
