Scope/Description:

The series Studies in Computational Intelligence SCI publishes new developments and advances in the various areas of computational intelligencequickly and with a high quality. The intent is to cover the theory applications and design methods of computational intelligence as embedded in the fields of engineering computer science physics and life sciences as well as the methodologies behind them. The series contains monographs lecture notes and edited volumes in computational intelligence spanning the areas of neural networks connectionist systems genetic algorithms evolutionary computation artificial intelligence cellular automata selforganizing systems soft computing fuzzy systems and hybrid intelligent systems. Of particular value to both the contributors and the readership are the short publication timeframe and the worldwide distribution which enable both wide and rapid dissemination of research output.

Impact Factor

Impact factor (IF) is a scientometric factor based on the yearly average number of citations on articles published by a particular journal in the last two years. A journal impact factor is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field. Find out more: What is a good impact factor?

III. Other Science Influence Indicators

Any impact factor or scientometric indicator alone will not give you the full picture of a science journal. There are also other factors such as H-Index, Self-Citation Ratio, SJR, SNIP, etc. Researchers may also consider the practical aspect of a journal such as publication fees, acceptance rate, review speed. H-Index

The h-index is an author-level metric that attempts to measure both the productivity and citation impact of the publications of a scientist or scholar. The index is based on the set of the scientist's most cited papers and the number of citations that they have received in other publications
