The Multidisciplinary Journal of Educational Research known by its Spanish acronym REMIE is an Electronic fourmonthly Journal of Hipatia Press that publishes research outcomes with significant contributions to the understanding and improvement of the educational processes. REMIE does not only collect research outcomes from different disciplines and methodological approaches but also research carried out by interdisciplinar research teams. In this line disciplinar and intedisciplinar works related to educational research will be welcome such as education sociology psychology anthropology history philosophy economics linguistics geography or political science.This scientific Journal emerges with the need to get a response to the excessive compartmentalization of scientific knowledge that traditionally has existed in educational research arena in Spain and Latin America. It pretends to be an international space for discussion and critique through the presentation of theoretical and empirical evidences that could favour educational equity and the advancement of our societies.REMIE is multilingual and publishes articles mainly in English Spanish and Portuguese. This journal publishing three issues per volume year February 15th June 15th and October 15th has two sections one of articles and another of reviews. Thejournal includes articles reporting results of scientific inquiries. Book reviews are of those most recent publications in the educational field from different disciplines and of international interest. REMIE also publishes monographs about some specific themes from a multidisciplinar approach.
