Scope/Description:

The Missouri Review is a notforprofit organization made possible in part by the generous support of readers and donors. We have helped shape the contemporary literary scene by offering the finest work of todays most important writers and by discovering the brightest new voices in fiction nonfiction and poetry. Our mission is aided by one of the most established and sophisticated internship programs in the country. Each semester we mentor more than twenty undergraduate and graduate interns many of whom go on to become editors in academia and the commercial publishing world. We believe this mission is as vital today as it was when the Missouri Review first began in 1978.And we would not be able to achieve these goals without the gifts and dedication we have received from individuals who appreciate and understand the importance of literature in our world.

Impact Factor

Impact factor (IF) is a scientometric factor based on the yearly average number of citations on articles published by a particular journal in the last two years. A journal impact factor is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field. Find out more: What is a good impact factor?

III. Other Science Influence Indicators

Any impact factor or scientometric indicator alone will not give you the full picture of a science journal. There are also other factors such as H-Index, Self-Citation Ratio, SJR, SNIP, etc. Researchers may also consider the practical aspect of a journal such as publication fees, acceptance rate, review speed.
