Die "Mathematische Zeitschrift" dient der Pflege der reinen und angewandten Mathematik, doch werden auch Beiträge aus den Gebieten der theoretischen Physik und Astronomie Aufnahme finden, soweit sie mathematisch von Interesse sind. Besprechungen, Aufgaben u. dgl. werden nicht zugelassen. Von jeder Arbeit werden 50 Sonderdrucke kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt, weitere können zum Selbstkostenpreis bezogen werden.
