MAGALLANIA (Antigua serie Ciencias Humanas de Anales del Instituto de la Patagonia) the formerly called Social Science series of the Anales del Instituto de la Patagonia, Universidad de Magallanes, has regularly published one volume yearly since 1970 and a volume with two numbers since 2005. Its main purpose is to publish original and unpublished work preferentially done by Universidad de Magallanes researchers, and associated academics (faculty) from other national and international institutions, in the Social Sciences and Humanities and on topics referred to Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego, Antarctic and adjoining islands, and the South-eastern Pacific.
