Elle entend ds ses origines promouvoir les recherches en linguistique franaise entendue comme la linguistique qui soccupe de la langue franaise dans sa diversit culturelle sociale et gographique et qui traite galement les questions de son acquisition de son apprentissage et de son enseignement en tant que langue maternelle comme en tant que langue trangre.Langue franaise est une revue semestrielle thmatiquedans les cadres des recherches thoriques et descriptives contemporaines y sont tudis des faits de langue et de discours relevant des diffrents niveaux danalysephontique phonologique lexical et smantique syntaxique et morphologique grammatical et didactique lesquels sont envisageables en comparaison avec dautres langues.Les contributions de tous horizons aussi bien du point de vue thorique que national font le point sur les problmatiques nouvelles et les recherches contemporaines thoriques et empiriques et sont accueillies sans exclusive.La revue sadresse aux enseignants aux tudiants et aux chercheurs intresss par ltude de la langue franaise dans tous ses aspects.
