JHHSA adopts a broad perspective of health care human services and management and administration. The journal welcomes manuscripts that focus on traditional public and nonprofit health care organizations including hospitals nursing homes ambulatory care facilities outpatient clinics and others and in a variety of public and nonprofit human services agencies. Manuscripts may address a variety of topics including organizational theory and behavior human resources training and development decisionmaking budgeting and finance information technology networks and interorganizational relationships ethics and transparency and others.In addition to these areas the journal embraces a healthy communities model that includes five dimensions of health including individual health healthy behaviors and outcomes health disparities environmental health clean air and clean water community safety civic health citizen engagement and voluntary behavior community health socialization availability of health care and social services and economic health robust and diverse local economy. Manuscripts that address any of these broader issues are also welcome.JHHSA publishes quantitative qualitative and mixed methods research and though affiliated with an American professional organization JHHSA is open to submissions with an international or comparative focus.
