The scientific journal Investigaciones Geogrficas has been published by theInteruniversity Institute of Geography Alicante since 1983. Since January 2012 issue no. 57 the journal has been published every six months JanuaryJune and JulyDecember issues and since issue no. 59 JanuaryJune 2013 in digital format only through this website.Its main aim is to contribute to the dissemination of geographical knowledge in the broadest sense and to be a means of expression for its scientific community. It accepts articles and bibliographic reviews which must be original and unpublished that make scientific contributions of a geographic nature in any of its various fields of knowledge. The journal does sporadically accept contributions from related disciplines such as History Urban Planning Ecology Economics Environment and Sociology among others. It is geared specifically towards university students and researchers and in a more general sense to all those interested in broadening their knowledge of human beings and their relationship with both the land and the landscape. Works of a merely informative nature or that do not make an original contribution to geographic knowledge are not accepted.
