The International Journal of Fluid Power represents the first scientific journal dedicated to fluid power published in English. The journal provides essential reading for engineers and academics interested in advances in modern fluid power technology. Furthermore the journal keeps the reader informed about research results new developments and trends in fluid power in the following key areasThe journal promotes and emphasises fluid power technology as an independent and distinct field of engineering. In addition to promoting highquality articles on research and development a fluid power calendar is included to keep the reader informed about international fluid power conferences workshops and exhibitions taking place around the world. All papers are peer reviewed by at least two leading experts of the fluid power community to ensure both technical quality and integrity. The reader will also find abstracts of recently completed PhD theses and published books related to Fluid Power. Work in progress from fluid power research centres worldwide is regularly reported and the reader will gain an insight into both research and education at these centres.
