Bioagro es una revista cientfica del Decanato de Agronoma de la Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado UCLA. Su periodicidad es cuatrimestral y se publica en los meses de enero mayo y septiembre. Cada trabajo es revisado por al menos dos especialistas en el rea externos a la revista de cuya opinin depende la aceptacin definitiva. Se utiliza sistema de arbitraje doble ciego.La revista va dirigida fundamental pero no exclusivamente a profesionales y tcnicos del rea agrcola. Su objetivo es publicar trabajos cientficos originales e inditos en ciencias agrcolas que enfoquen aspectos de agronoma botnica y propagacin de plantas entomologa y zoologa suelos fitopatologa y proteccin vegetal ingeniera agrcola gentica y mejoramiento de plantas ecologa procesamiento de productos agrcolas biotecnologa y sociales. Tambin pueden ser publicados artculos cortos en los que se presenten descubrimientos cientficos desarrollos tecnolgicos y resultados de diagnsticos integrales en la modalidad de Notas Tcnicas.En Venezuela se encuentra en las bibliotecas de todas las universidades e institutos de educacin superior que ofrecen carreras agronmicas as como de los entes oficiales de investigacin agropecuaria. En el exterior la revista llega a universidades yo institutos de investigacin agrcolas de todos los pases de Amrica Latina as como Estados Unidos Canad y Espaa.
