A journal of the British Institute in Eastern Africa Azania Archaeological Research in Africa has since its foundation in 1966 built up a strong track record in publishing papers on the archaeology and precolonial history of Eastern Africa. The journal now covers all aspects of African archaeology regardless of temporal or spatial boundaries.The journal seeks to become the premier outlet for publishing archaeological work on Africas past.
