Australian Historical Studies is a refereed journal publishing original and previously unpublished online or hard copy articles. First appearing in 1940 it is the oldest and most highlyregarded academic journal of Australian history. It is published four times a year. Australian Historical Studies deals with all aspects of the history of Australia including its global context. All historical approaches are welcomed.
