Asian Medicine Journal of the International Association for the Study of Traditional Asian Medicinepreviously subtitled Tradition and Modernity is a multidisciplinary journal aimed at researchers andpractitioners of Asian medicine. It makes available in one single publication academic essays thatexplore the historical anthropological sociological and philological dimensions of Asian medicine aswell as practice reports from clinicians based in Asia and in Western countries translations of relevanttexts and other types of articles. With the recent upsurge of interest in nonWestern alternativeapproaches to health care Asian Medicine will be of relevance to those studying the crossculturaltranslations and adaptations of Asian medical systems in the age of globalization.
